Maho Bay Clayworks
The following classes are currently scheduled at Maho Bay Camps!

Maho Art Center Class Schedule
Winter 2007-2008 Schedule

Maho Bay Clayworks
  Kids & Family Potter's Wheel$45 (age 8+) min. 4 students, max. 8
Everyone can learn how to throw a clay pot on a wheel and create a bowl to take with you.

Clay Sculpture/Handbuilding$40 per person (age 12+) min. 4, max. 8
Creative projects without using the potter's wheel. Mondays 10:00am - 12:00pm. Meet at clay studio. We will ship your fired work to you at a reasonable rate.

Tropical Fish Take-Out$25 per person (ages 6-12)
Decorate clay fish & sea creatures with collage, paint and glitter. Ready to take home the next day. Thursdays, 10 am-12 pm. No Minimum# of students. Please sign up by Wednesday 6:30pm. Meets at clay studio.

Ceramic Pendants and Windchimes$40 per person (age 8+) min. 4, max. 8
Use local plants and sea life impressions. Thursdays, 2 pm - 4 pm. Meet at clay studio. We will ship your fired work to you at a reasonable rate.

Maho Bay Glass Studio
  Glass Blowing$65 (age 13+) max. 2 students
Learn the process of creating works of art from recycled bottles and try it yourself.

Glass Blowing DemonstrationsFREE
Resident and visiting glass blowing artists give live demonstrations each evening from 6:30pm-10pm Nov thru July and a few evenings a week during the rest of the year.

Torch Glass Bead-Making$65 (age 13+) max. 2 students
Make your own beads or pendants on a small torch located near the glass studio. No experience needed to make multi-colored glass jewelry pieces. 3:30pm on Wed.

Kids Stamp a Glass Sun Catcher$15 (age 5+) no min. # of students
Learn for the experts how you can create your own stamp made from recycled glass.

Children's Arts & Crafts Program
  Stamp Your Own Sun Catcher$15/suncatcher
This Thursday afternoon class is for those from 1st grade through High School who want to make their own Maho souvenir.

Papermaking$25 (age 5+)
Saturdays and Sundays at 12:30PM, learn how to form beautiful hand-made paper from recycled, shredded office paper.

Kids & Family Block Printing$30 (age 7+) min. 3 students, max 8.
For kids and Families to learn how to use block-print techniques on recycled fabric. Class price includes one handmade bandana @ noon on Wednesday.

Clay for Kids$25 (age 6+)
Fun painting clay fish with your own design.

Ceramic Pendants & Wind Chimes$40 (age 8+)
Use local plants and shells to design elements for your own necklaces and wind chimes. Great class for kids and families to have fun together.

Other Classes at Maho Bay Camps
  Watercolor Landscape Painting$48 (no age limit) min. 3, max. 8
Paint your view of the Virgin Islands. Take home your art to frame and new skills to keep on painting! Experienced painters welcome. Fridays 12:30 pm - 3:30 pm.

Tropical Still Life Painting$48 per person (age 15+) min. 3, max. 6
Enjoy an evening of painting. Capture the colors and shapes of our island's bounty. Beginners and experienced painters welcome. Meet at clay studio. Fridays, 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm.

Silk-Painting(age 10+) min. 1 student, max. 6
Sliding scale (1) $100 (2) $60 (3 or more) ea. Learn the basics of silk painting to creat your own unique design for a wall hanging or scarf.

Paper Making$25 (no age limit) min. 2 students, max. 8
Make your own stationery from lint from the dryer plus leaves, ribbon...you name it.

Kids Water Color$24 (age 5+) min. 3 students, max. 6
Children's classes teach color and personal expression in learning how to water color paint.

Paper Bowl Making$25 (no age limit) min. 2 students, max. 8
Make a paper bowl from lint from the dryer plus a wide assortment of decorations.

Paper Book Cover$25 (no age limit) min. 2 students, max. 8
Make a book cover from lint from the dryer plus any materials you can think of.
