“Vacationed in Maho for the 5th or 6th time in a row this Easter. We usually go the summer but had plans for Europe and needed our yearly Maho "fix". Knew it would be more crowded in high season but it was the same..hot time, cool people! Highlight for me was passing out marshmallow "peeps" to all kids guests and the "peeps" (staff) who work so hard to make it easy for us to relax!! Thanks you guys!
Whenever I get over worked and feel under Maho-ed I watch this slideshow and I feel a lot better.
Cheers campers.

“we are a family of 4 (kids are 13 and 11) and we were all looking so forward to this trip. just the pictures from the web site we thought we were going to have a wonderful time. well, the pictures didn't lie. maho bay is heaven. the kids loved every minute. we stayed april 7 for a week in tent b5 and it was great to be in between the beach and the restaurant and the bath house. not to far in any direction. we did send 2 boxes. one for sunscreen ect. and that was shipped priority and made it, and a box of food that was not shipped priority and it never showed up. we didn't realize the shipping mistake. the food in the restaurant was great but it did bring us a little over our budget not having our own stuff for lunch and breakfast. no bugs and just a few lite showers, nothing to complain about.the snorkeling right there is really nice. but go to the far right to Frances bay along the coast and that was nice. and a walk to waterlemon cay is just amazing. go counter clock wise around the cay and you are swimming in a fish tank. there is a strong current for the last 100 yards to the left of the cay just be careful. our children swam to the cay then waited on the beach as we went around and had a great time. maho does have internet service, at one point i asked our daughter if she would like to go on line to talk to her friends for a few minutes and she said that she didn't believe how much fun she could have being disconnected,( and we have tight guide lines in our home about being plugged in and turned on) can't wait to get back ,already trying to . the next time we will rent a jeep to be able to explore a little more but as far as a first trip the hikes to the different bays and the annaberg ruines was fine. hope you all enjoy.”

“Can't wait to get back to Maho in May for the 3rd year in a row! We took our older teens the second week of May 2008, we all thought we had landed in paradise. We never got one bug bite or drop of rain. Last year my husband & I went alone, the same exact week in May...this time there was a skeeter epidemic & lots of rain! Regardless, it was still an awesome time, we just made the best of it, it was very romantic. We had no interest in using the cooking gear (we were on vacation after all!) so no need to buy food since the on-site restaurant is awesome. My recommendation is to rent a Jeep at the St. Thomas airport (about $500/week), then you can ferry it over to St. John's for $40 round trip. This saves a lot of time & frustration standing around in the heat waiting for the taxi, plus you can expore the beautiful island of St. John on your own schedule. Stop at a grocery store before you catch the ferry and lay in a supply of snacks, fruit, water & drinks...don't forget the rum! Skinny Legs for a burger is the only "must." Our typical day was early breakfast, drive to a hiking trail, hit a beach, then back to Maho for a shower, a nap, then dinner & relaxing. Snorkeling is awesome right at Maho Bay, around the rocks to the left of the beach. Maho is not for everybody...but it's perfect for us!”

“Reading the posted comments on the website and on Trip Advisor we changed our plans and stayed at Maho for 3 nights and at the Wyndham on St. Thomas for 3 nights. Mistake. We should have stayed at Maho for 5 nights concluding our stay in paradise at the resort (highly recommended) for one night. We stayed in e-25 tent which was 787 steps to the beach. First time in my life I came back from vacation in better shape than when I left. We sent a package of food, snacks, etc. a month prior and it didn't arrive (thats USPS). I asked the girls at the desk to make sure some "lucky" family enjoyed our stuff, I hope they did. There is not a better place for an 8 year old girl and her parents to bond and just enjoy the serenity of nature and "island life". Mike, the manager ?, was fantastic. Nice to talk to and made sure that we had everything we needed. I had two minor concerns that were addressed within minutes. We rented a jeep in St Thomas and took the car barge from Red Hook. Although people questioned our sanity, we thought it was the best thing to do. Went to Waterlemon, Salt Pond, Francis, Trunk and Cinnamon Bay in 4 days. Driving on the island isn't easy to start but becomes quite fun. As I stated we concluded out trip with a stay ath the Wyndham Sugar Bay Resort on St Thomas. Inexpensive and it was just a great way to wind down in luxury before going back north. East End Cafe in Red Hook was one of the bset restaurants I have been to. If your a golfer, Mahogony Run is a must. Played in less than three hours and the scenery was fantastic.

Our only regret with Maho is that we didn't get there sooner. It's a shame that it may be gone in a very short period of time...”

“Stayed at Concordia last month, (family of 4 with two children), and had a wonderful time! View from our tent (E23 - regular not Premium) was great, but due to lack of breeze we did experience more mosquitoes than we would have in a Premium tent, which offers better view and breeze. Didn't mind the steps, though they are significant. The staff at Concordia was very helpful and considerate and the restaurant was great. Can't wait to return and will choose the Concordia Eco Camping experience every time!!

“We stayed in A15, just got back last night...was there for a week. I would love to go back, under these conditions....I bring gallons of deet to protect myself from the noseeums. And also that I stay at Maho Bay's sister resort Concordia. The eco-friendly tents just weren't cutting it. I'm not one who's totally "one with nature"...so seeing a cockroach run under our bed the first night wasn't very settling. Other than that, the employees were super friendly, and the food was delicious. I'm a vegetarian and they did a very good job at serving food all types of people could enjoy. yoga every morning with Suki was fabulous!!! oh yea...and i need to bring wayyy more $$$ next time, cabs and food are both very expensive....my sisters, mom and i rang up a pretty high tab by the end of the trip :X ”
