Your search for the perfect Caribbean vacation holiday rental or honeymoon spot could be over if you are environmentally concerned. Estate Concordia Studios are comprised of nine spacious dwellings on St. John's more secluded southeastern shore. These studios together with Concordia Eco-tents create an eco-resort unique in its comfortable accommodations.
Especially nice for vacationing families or honeymooners, Concordia Studios feature a freshwater, hillside swimming pool, large open-air rooms, fully equipped kitchens, and personal attention from knowledgeable managers. Each unit looks out over Salt Pond Bay and the incomparable view of Ram Head. This side of the island, adjacent to the US Virgin Islands National Park, has some of the world's best snorkeling, scuba diving and hiking to enhance any Caribbean vacation.
Concordia Eco-Studios
Guests at Estate Concordia Preserve will have a new option for accommodations soon - the new Concordia Eco-Studios. With easy access off the road to Café Concordia, the new eco-studios offer sweeping panoramic views of Salt Pond Bay and the expanse of the VI National Park. We will announce when the new Eco-Studios will be ready for occupancy to make reservations for bookings.
Each of the four studios currently under construction will be able to accommodate four people with queen-sized bed plus sleep sofa as well as kitchen facilities, bathroom with solar-heated shower and comfortable private deck. Location of the new studios allows guests the closest access to Salt Pond beach trail, Pavilion and Café Concordia. Two of the new units are wheelchair accessible - more information in our accessibility handbook.
The new units are a showcase of the use of recycled art created at Maho Bay Art Center. Each unit will feature handmade glass countertops, tiles, and lampshades, batiked recycled fabric wall hangings, and clay sconces fired at our pallet-burning kiln.
Sustainable building of new Eco-Studios
The Concordia Eco-Studios are setting a new standard of sustainable building in the U.S. Virgin Islands, built with the Eco-Panels building system - the most advanced and integrated panelized building system on the market today (www.eco-panels.com) - and specially glazed windows and doors for maximum cooling and minimum construction waste.
Concordia, which is in an ideal location for wind power generation, will be aiding in powering the new units with the construction of a wind turbine. Our first windmill will produce 1.8 kilowatts with more windmills to come.
These innovations will be used in addition to the green techniques that have evolved during the past 35 years at Maho. Some examples are site-sensitive construction, recycled building materials, elevated walkways, water and energy saving fixtures, solar hot water, photo voltaic cells, passive solar design, native plant landscaping and wildlife management.

Dining & Activities at Concordia
Our new Cafe Concordia serving dinner nightly offers spectacular ocean views and an informal dining atmosphere. Specialties include Mahi Mahi, Salmon, NY Steak, chicken & vegetarian entrees. A wide array of salads with local organic greens, island-style deserts,and a selection of rum drinks, wine and beer are available. The Concordia Store is well-stocked with food and beverages for guests provisioning for meals or snacks. And our new Meeting Pavilion enables guests to participate in yoga classes, enjoy special evening entertainment options, and provides workshop space for groups. Other necessities can be found in Cruz Bay (roughly 40 minutes from Concordia) where the ferries connect to St. Thomas. The nearby town of Coral Bay also has restaurants, shopping, entertainment, water sports, and tours.
Maho Bay Camps also accommodates active guests with snorkeling, sailing, scuba diving, windsurfing and hiking. So there is something for everyone, an classes are offered for both adults and children that include a number of craft areas such as tie-dyeing, ceramics, glass blowing, watercolor painting and paper making — and each class demonstrates an aspect of creating art out of recycled materials. For more contemplative types, our secluded beach at Salt Pond is just what you dream a beach should be.
Features of Concordia Studios:
Full or Partial Ocean View Studio: A variety of styles ranging from cozy rooms with queen size futons and efficiency kitchens to large rooms with vaulted ceilings, wrap-around deck, queen size bed and full kitchen. These units can accommodate two guests (three in larger units, with rollaway bed).
Full Ocean View Loft Duplex: These two-story units feature loft bedrooms, wrap-around decks, two bathrooms, full kitchens, two twin beds, and one full-size futon. They can comfortably accommodate six guests with two rollaway beds.

December 15, 2009 - April 14, 2010:
- Efficiency (queen futon) $160 per night.
- Superior Efficiency (queen bed) $175 per night.
- Deluxe (full kitchen / queen bed) $225 per night.
- Loft Duplex (2 level, 2 baths, full kitchen, queen futon, queen bed) $250 per night.
- Additional guests $25/night per person.
April 15, 2010 - December 14, 2010:
- Efficiency (queen futon) $115 per night.
- Superior Efficiency (queen bed) $125 per night.
- Deluxe (full kitchen / queen bed) $135 per night.

- Additional guests $15/night per person.
A seven night minimum stay is required ONLY during the holiday periods of:
- Christmas — Arrival or departure dates anytime during the period Dec. 24, 2009 - Jan. 3, 2010.
- President's Week — Arrival or departure dates anytime during the period Feb. 14 - 22, 2010.
- Easter — Arrival or departure dates anytime during the period March 27 - April 5, 2010.
